“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” – Rabindranath Tagore
Today started off stormy, with clouds and turmoil. I had two choices. Let the storm clouds interfere with me doing my thing, or do my thing despite the storm clouds. With the encouragement and support of someone who has come to mean the world to me, I chose the later. If there is one thing I’ve learned the last year, it is that there are always going to be clouds. What I learned today is that the clouds don’t have to be a bad thing. How I react to them is up to me. They can add color to my sunset. The storminess has exhausted me. I want peace.
Things are starting to fall back into place with my running. Since Chicago my heart rate has been high and even on easy runs my breathing had felt labored. But this week the running has finally started to feel normal. The heart rate is coming back down. My breathing feels better. A residual tweak that I’d had in my right hamstring has disappeared. It’s all good!
Got my training plan through the end of the year. I LOVE the look of it. Increased miles. Interesting workouts – different than the stuff I’ve done in the past. Can’t wait to get to it!
