Today is a new day.
Today I will not let negative thoughts bring me down.
Today I will not live in the past.
Today I will live in the present.
Today I will not be distracted by things that aren’t good for me.
Today I will get done what I need to get done.
Today I will focus.
Today I will not stress out.
Today I will think positively.
Today I will trust and believe in myself.

Thanks for the encouraging comments, FB posts and emails. Â No more freak outs.
yeah! i like this post much better 🙂
There you go! Remember, one bad day or run does NOT define a training cycle! You had an awesome few months. Take it easy this week. Rest, eat well, baby your legs and you will have an awesome race.
Look back over you log and focus on the great workouts you had! A positive mindset is key, keep it going! Plus, you have to run and have an awesome race for me! I need something fun to watch/track this weekend while I lie in bed tethered to my ice machine 😦
Ugggg, I wish you were better instantly! Glad I can help entertain you on Sunday!
I am so excited for you! You are going to ROCK this race! This is your time and your race!
I can’t wait to check my phone when I finish to see how you did. You should be very proud of
your training cycle. Have fun!
Tina! You still stalk my blog!
And I just checked, you are running on Sunday too. In corral 2. My guess is we have similar time goals! So we’ll see eachother out on the course I bet. How has your training gone? Good luck to you!
And thanks for the kind words!
Haha! Yes, I am still a stalker! My training has gone okay. I don’t think I’m as
ready as I was last year. I am not even trying to BQ, since I don’t think
I’m there. My goal is around 3:50.
I’m running New York in November and then I plan on training hard to
BQ next year. I think I have it in me to BQ, but I’m just not ready right now.
I will look for you and say Hi!
I like this post – I will read through that list a few times as I try to focus and remain calm and positive as I approach my race this coming weekend (Portland marathon). I saw that you got a PR and BQ so clearly your mental strength and positivity prevailed – congratulations!! I hope to run Boston 2013 too 🙂
Hi Claire! Thanks for the kind words and GOOD LUCK in Portland!
