This week has been filled with Epsom Salt baths, Biofreeze gel, massage and rest. And, I am happy to report that I had THE BEST run in 2 weeks today. After taking it ultra easy all week, I snuck out of the office early and ran at my Hidden Gem location and it was fabulous! After a couple weeks of cruddy runs and uncertainty about what was going on with my leg, I felt so HAPPY and GRATEFUL to have felt normal.
I will continue to baby the leg with massage, biofreeze, etc. But, more important than that, I am not going to forget about the importance of cross-training, rest days, not doing too many back to back hard days, and making sure my paces are where they should be!
