The thing word press does to show you what people are searching to get to your blog is interesting. Sadly, yesterday someone searched “Top 10 Ugly Feet” and my blog came up. Nice! Thus today’s blog post title. I’m trying to mess with the search engines.
Second track workout of the Advanced Grandma’s Training plan yesterday. And I still didn’t do it on the track. At 4:30 in the morning, it’s too much work to get in a car and find a track (too dark at the track too). It was 6 x 800m, with 200m recovery between. My goal was to do the intervals between 7:00 – 7:10. Victory! Paces ended up being: 6:56, 7:05, 7:00, 7:06, 6:56 and 7:08. Felt pretty good – challenging, but not the labored, short gasping breathing like I was experiencing on some of my hill repeats a month ago. I like 800m intervals because they feel challenging, but not so long that they are torture.
Meg ran the mile in a Varsity meet yesterday. Good day for her – she wasn’t in last place (but she says that’s only because the last place girl was up all night puking/ill) AND she knocked 16 seconds off her time and finished in 6:44. I think that is awesome for a 7th grader!
