Giving the body some love . . .

I could literally feel my body recovering from my 20 miler last night and today.  I zonked out about 8:45 last night and didn’t wake up til the alarm went off at 5:00 (usually I wake up 2 or 3 times – sometime more! – to pee in the middle of the night).  I felt SO refreshed from 8 solid hours of sleep.  Instead of running this morning I did pilates (advanced) and, again, could feel my body loving all the stretching, strengthening and recovering.  On my lunch hour I loosened up the legs by doing some stationary biking.  The final love that I gave my body today was 5 valentine chocolates and 2 cookies!  The day isn’t done yet – I hear the frozen yogurt calling my name . . .

Grandma’s half marathon lottery registration opens today.  Who’s putting their name in?

  1. I tell ya, it is hard to train for anything this winter.

    Grandma’s Half……… you know how I feel about road races.

    I have not forgotten about the 6 pack I owe you. Just brewed yesterday, and will be brewing a lot more in the coming months.

    I may even run a race.

    Registered. I’m probably the only registrant hoping he doesn’t get in. That would mean I can skip the crowds and go run SHT for a couple hours during the race.
