If you are looking for a 5k to run (or walk) on Saturday, October 2nd, come join me at the first annual Timberdash 5k trail run/walk at Lake Maria State Park in Monticello. It is benefiting a great cause: PATH Crisis Nursery of Wright County. I’ve been a member of Crisis Nursery’s advisory committee for 10+ years. With all the budget cuts, they really need to raise a bunch of money this year. Come support Crisis Nursery and have a great morning (and get a cute t-shirt and medal – they are actually giving out medals to all finishers for the 5k!). If you can’t run, consider being a volunteer. Oh and in the interest of full disclosure: my law firm is one of the sponsors of this event.
Oh and Kel, before you get excited and say it’s about time I finally converted to trail running: I haven’t. Since it’s the day before Twin Cities Marathon, I’m just volunteering, not running. (I told them preferably at something I can sit down at!). Hope to see you there!
No worries Cindi, we’ll get you in the dirt one of these days 🙂
