I’m wrapping up my last serious week of training for Marathon #5. Twin Cities Marathon – October 3, 2010. 20 miles tomorrow, then it’s taper time. This round of training has been very different for me. First, it’s only a 12 week plan (versus 16 – 18 weeks for Marathons 1 – 4). Second, I’ve been way more laid back about it. I’ve been trying to get the scheduled runs in, but if Life interfered and I couldn’t get them in, I didn’t freak out and worry about it. We’ll see how this shorter, more relaxed training translates performance-wise on Race Day. Who knows, maybe this strategy will get me that BQ I’ve been chasing and that I know is in me.
Stay tuned.
I’ve been reading! Just not saying much. Computer’s been funky, my running is non-existant, and I’ve been busy with back to work. I’ve been reading, though!
